The Cancer Resource Library-part of the Institute (FHCI)-offers an extensive collection of books, brochures, articles and DVDs about cancer, as well as an interactive cancer education system through the use of touch-screen computers. All of the library's services are free. The librarians are volunteers from the community.
Cancer patients and their families, and community members such as health professionals, students, teachers and members of service organizations, can use the library.
Several organizations that specialize in cancer, including the American Cancer Society and the National Cancer Institute, supply the library with up-to-date information.
The library materials may be accessed through visiting any one of the multiple locations listed. Individuals may call for information to be mailed on specific topics or schedule an appointment to talk with a nurse or social worker.
Six outpatient libraries are located at the various Florida Hospital campuses. For the location and operating hours of the Cancer Resource Library nearest you,
