Generosity allows us to reach the next level of excellence in everything we do. We create excellence through a partnership with thousands of people who give in different ways. Some of these people work here. Others live in the community. A few even reside in different states or countries. But all share our purpose of creating an extraordinary healing experience. AdventHealth is one of America's largest not-for-profit health care systems.

The heart of the FHCI cancer program is our commitment to making a difference in the life of each patient we serve. Our cancer care focuses on much more than the disease; we're here to provide comprehensive educational, emotional and spiritual support through our counseling and educational services for patients, services for families and caregivers and support groups. The FHCI knows that your journey toward wellness involves the whole person-mind, body and spirit.
View Video of the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute Annual Report 2015:
The Florida Hospital Cancer Institute (FHCI) is one of the premier cancer research and treatments facilities in the nation and is the 3rd largest cancer center in the country. FHCI treats more newly diagnosed cancer patients than any other hospital in the state. FHCI provides a comprehensive continuum of services ranging from disease prediction and prevention to state-of-the-art detection, treatment, and research—encompassed by educational, psychological, and spiritual support. The Cancer Institute is accredited as a Community Comprehensive Cancer Center by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer and is recognized by the American Society of Clinical Oncology as one of the 12 leading community oncology programs in the United States!
Leadership at Florida Hospital Cancer Institute has a vision to take the battle against cancer to the next level by focusing on two key initiatives. The first is to develop a one-of-a-kind Breast Cancer Program where women come to be healed of breast cancer, but more importantly, where we can help them prevent and survive cancer. The second initiative is expanding translational research at FHCI to bring new therapies to the war on cancer. Our goal is to develop new treatments in our state-of-the-art laboratories and then use these therapies at the bedside to more effectively attack and eradicate cancer. We believe this research will revolutionize the way cancer is battled today, giving Central Florida access to cutting edge therapies as they are developed.
Comprehensive care continues to include medical and radiation oncology, bone marrow transplant, access to hundreds of active clinical trials and specialized palliative care programs. Areas of expertise include the Gynecologic Oncology Center, Neuro-Oncology Center, Health and Cancer Risk Assessment Counseling Center, Center for Cellular Therapy and the Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases. The Cancer Institute provides complimentary care programs for breast care, colorectal cancer, melanoma, thoracic cancer, urologic cancer, and cancer of the brain, spine, head, and neck. It also houses a cancer resource library and the Eden Spa, a one of a kind spa that focuses on image recovery for cancer patients.
